Unsolicited Great House Painter Review: CPM Painting (919-720-8088), Kevin Cook Just had house and deck work and painting done by Kevin Cook (owner) of CPM Painting (919-720-8088). Absolutely Excellent Quality and Service! Painting is 90% prep work, and that's really the most important part of the project. Kevin Cook and his colleague, Eddie (CPM Painting) did a ridiculously amazing job of prep work and finish work. Our house is a challenge: 36 years old, all wood, Cypress siding, 30-year-old complex original deck, complex house lines and woodwork, and complex custom architectural window design. We required a lot of wood replacement work and prep work, replacement of a fair bit of (now relatively rare) Cypress siding, replacement of deck pieces and pergola over deck. Where wood was not replaced, it was sanded everywhere ? down to bare wood in many places, then primed, then 2 coats of paint were applied, then windows cleaned, then meticulous touch up. None of our complexities were in any way a challenge for Kevin, and he was cheerful about all of it. Never a sigh. Always a smile. (Not that it matters that much, but it shows how skilled and capable he is.) I'd challenge anyone to find a painter who will give this much attention to detail. You won't be able to. Very reliable and a great communicator. A great individual too. This work is going to last a very long time. Flawless. This review may seem suspicious because it is so superlative, but I'm in my 60?s and have interacted with a lot of contractors, and this is an honest, factual review. He's far above the fold.
Kevin was prompt and on time to do our estimate. It was complete and professional. Communication was good after we decided to go with him to do the work. I texted a couple times to ask questions and got the replies I needed. Crew showed up on time on our project dates. Took care to cover stuff and to clean up afterwards. The job turned out really good and on time. I would definitely use CPM again. He took time to walk around at the end to look for touch up needs before he had me look with him. We never felt like they rushed to just to be done but they work hard and fast but still took the time to answer questions or address any concerns. Overall great job.

They were at our home ready to go by 7am each morning and worked methodically to transform our tired look to something bold and beautiful. This is the 3rd time that we have had these wonderful, skilled painters back to our home! Last year, we had our entire house power washed, caulked, and painted. We had CPM Painting Inc. back last month to repair a damaged wall that had separated from the frame of the house, paint our master bath and bedroom, and come back to paint the kitchen ceiling after a leak was repaired. They are so easy to work with. They are so professional, pay attention to detail, and complete their work efficiently. They even play great music!! We highly recommend them!!
